Frequently Asked Questions

The Digital Studio

Where can I purchase the digital studio?
At this time, the digital studio can only be purchased online (not via the JB app - it CAN be accessed via the app after purchase). Click here to purchase.

Does payment automatically recur?
Payments will automatically recur every month on the day that you originally purchased the plan until you decide to cancel.

We understand that there are some weeks, even months, where life is just crazy. It doesn't make sense for you to pay a 30-day fee for a service that you can only use for 1 week of a particular month. Therefore, we do not have cancellation fees for the digital studio. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the JB app.  You can start again at any time by re-subscribing to the recurring payment plan.

Is there a cancellation policy for the digital studio?
No cancellation fees. You may stop the program at anytime. However, once your payment for each 30 day period is processed, we do not offer refunds, regardless of whether or not you use the workouts that you will have access to during that period.

Where can I learn about the formats?
Click here for detailed descriptions for each format.

How much space do I need to do the workouts?
You'll need about 6 square feet of space in order to do the workouts. A garage, basement, living room, or deck, or gym space are also great options.

How long are the workouts?
Each class video is between 30 - 60 minutes.

How do I know if I am doing the exercises correctly?
For all workouts, we'll guide you all the way on form, technique, and where you should be "feeling" the exercises.
Distress: If you feel sharp, acute pain, STOP. Knees, hips, back, shoulders are the areas you want to be mindful of here.
Discomfort: If it burns, you're doing it right. Keep going and rest when you need to.

Am I going to get sweaty?
Absolutely you are. Be proud of your puddles. We call them Jolly Drops.

Am I going to be sore?
It is highly likely that you will experience soreness when beginning any new exercise routine. If you experience soreness that persists past 72 hours post workout, you may need to back off a little bit or decrease your resistance slightly.
If you are not sore the day after the workout, that does NOT mean that you didn't do well! As long as you are feeling the work in your muscles DURING the workout, you're on the right track. If you're not feeling the work in your muscles during the workout, increase your resistance, increase the range of motion (for example go deeper into your squats if you can), and/or change the tempo (speed).  Spoiler alert : move slowly on the downward phases of strength exercises to increase the difficulty.

How do I know if I'm overdoing it during my workouts?
Sometimes it's hard to know how hard to push yourself safely. These workouts are designed to elevate your heart rate, sometimes to a great extent, and therefore be uncomfortable. However, there's a BIG difference between discomfort and distress - and we don't want you to be in distress.

Discomfort:

  • Elevating your heartrate to the point where you are unable to hold a conversation

  • An exercise burns so much you want to say a bad word.

  • Lots of sweating

Distress:

  • Nausea

  • Dizziness

  • Soreness that persists longer than 3 days

If you experience any signs of distress during your workout, STOP. Take a few days off and/or slowly orient yourself with the workouts by choosing the 30 minute options to begin with. As always, consult with your doctor before engaging in any physical activity that may exacerbate other health conditions.

I'm a beginner. Can I do these workouts?
Sometimes the hardest part is just beginning - and we get that! First step, ASK YOUR DOCTOR! There may be certain exercises that they say are "off limits" depending on certain medications, conditions, and/or injuries. After you've got the green light from your doctor, you're ready.

Every body is different. What's most important is that you move safely and feel better! Please do not rush the process of getting stronger. Be patient and start slowly to see how your body is responding.

I’m pregnant. Can I do these workouts?
Always, always, ALWAYS discuss your exercise routine with your OB-GYN during your regular check-up.  Depending on how far along you are, abdominal work and high impact exercises, as well as exercises that increase heart rate to a certain level, may be prohibited.

I'm recovering from an injury or have chronic issues with a particular area of my body. Is it okay for me to do these workouts?
Always, always, ALWAYS disclose your exercise routine to your physician.  Not only can they direct you to exercises that may help to alleviate certain chronic conditions or injuries, but more importantly you'll find out if there are any "off limits" exercises that could prevent you from getting better.

There's always more than one way to perform an exercise, so it's okay to change it a little in order to fit your body.  Remember, your goal is to accomplish any given exercise safely.  Only you know what being in your body feels like.  If you feel pain, stop.  If you feel discomfort (burning in your muscles, sweating), keep going and take rests when you need.

How do I view the workouts?
There are two ways to view the workouts: by downloading the JB app, or via desktop computer by logging into your account and selecting the JBDS tab.

What equipment do I need to do the workouts?
Please click here to download a PDF with the full list of JBDS equipment, including links to each item for viewing and/or purchasing.

Jolly Bodies Studio Classes

Where is Jolly Bodies located?

Our address is:

MARKET & MERRILL, SUITE D175

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS

Where should I start?

Jolly Bodies offers 6 different class types. They all have various amounts of the same 3 ingredients: cardio, strength, and mobility. Before booking a class, click here learn about our formats and how they’re scheduled. This is the best way to determine what formats are most likely to meet your physical and emotional needs.

What time are classes offered?

We’re so glad you asked. Check out our full schedule here or log in to the JB app.

Do you offer a free trial period for studio classes?

Yes! If you’re not quite ready to put a ring on it, we encourage all first-time guests of Jolly Bodies to take advantage of our free 5-class pack.

Does the free trial period have an expiration date?

Yes. The 5 free class pack will expire 3 weeks from the date you “purchase” it. We recommend viewing our class schedule PRIOR to purchasing the free trial to see what classes have openings. If a class says “waitlisted” or “full”, that means there are currently no open reservations. Current members of Jolly Bodies can book up to 2 weeks in advance, which is why we allow guests on the free trial to have an extra week to plan which classes they want to attend in advance before their free trial expires.

Free trial classes cannot be used to book Control sessions. Control is our most immersive group training experience and is a high-demand class that is currently only offered once per week. If you would like to book a Control session, you may purchase a single Control ticket or sign up for the Super Duper Jolly Plus membership, which includes various benefits including the ability to book Control sessions at no additional cost.

I’m ready to join. How do I purchase a membership?

You can purchase a membership using a desktop browser by clicking here.

Which membership should I choose?

Compare our membership tiers here.

If you:

  • Know that you have an unpredictable schedule (you want freedom to late cancel/no show without being charged a cancellation fee)*

  • Want unlimited access to our digital workouts

  • Want a 25% discount on all merchandise, all year

  • Want 10% off all private events (workout parties, birthday parties for kids, team events, meetings)

  • Want the ability to book Control** events at no additional cost

Then choose Super Duper Jolly PLUS.

All other membership tiers do NOT include the benefits above.

*Plan comes with 24 "late cancel/no show" grace passes per 12-month contract period, divided equally amongst 12 months (allotted 1 “late cancel” and 1 “no show” waiver per month).

**Control is our most immersive group training event and is held once weekly. Click here for more info!

Do you require contracts?

The only plan that requires a contract is the Super Duper Jolly PLUS membership, as it is loaded with benefits that are valued at over $1000.00 per 12-month contract period. All other membership tiers have a standard 30-day cancellation policy.

Can kids have memberships at Jolly Bodies?

Children 10-18 may have memberships at Jolly Bodies, but there are restrictions based on age. Please read more here.

Can my child sit in the lobby/hallway while I take class?

Unfortunately, no. Please read our policy regarding children in our facilities here.

How do I cancel my membership?

We don't anticipate you leaving us, but should you choose to move to Fiji, we want to make sure we are transparent regarding our cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel your plan for any reason, cancellation requests are only taken via email or in person by the plan holder (you) and must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the last day you'd like to have access to your plan.

For example, let's say that you are typically charged for your membership on the 20th of each month.

In January, you make the decision to cancel your plan. In order to avoid being charged in February, your cancellation request must be submitted by January 19th. In this scenario, you will charged for the last time on January 20th and have access to classes until February 20th. If you submit your cancellation request on or after January 20th, you will be charged both on January 20th and again on February 20th, giving you access to classes until March 20th in this scenario. If you are unsure of your billing date each month, please check your account on the JB app OR your cardholder account. If there are variations in the billing date, please contact us immediately so we can help you.

Do you offer membership holds (can I pause my membership intermittently)?

We do not offer holds at this time.

What if I become chronically ill or injured?

Exceptions to the cancellation/hold policy will only be made in cases of life-threatening illness, injury, or unpreventable acts of nature. If you have extenuating life circumstances that require you to cancel or pause your plan, please let us know immediately. We are here to help and understand that life happens, and the last thing we want you worried about in these circumstances is our cancellation policy.

Do you have a late cancellation and/or no show policy for studio classes?

Yes. We are not interested in using late cancel/no check-in fees as a revenue stream at Jolly Bodies. We wish we didn't need them at all. However, we are focused on establishing a culture of consideration and want to ensure that everyone at Jolly Bodies, including you, has an equal opportunity to access their favorite classes. This is especially important for members who register for waitlists due to full capacity.

In order to ensure that every member at Jolly Bodies has an equal opportunity to attend classes, we employ a late cancel/no show policy. If you have a schedule that is unpredictable (medical professions, kids, etc.) and would like to avoid late cancel/no check-in fees, please consider the Super Duper Jolly Plus plan, which comes with 24 "grace passes" for late cancel/no show days per 12-month contract period (1 late cancel and 1 no-show waiver per month). All other plans do NOT include grace passes.

Late cancel: Cancelling your class within 10 hours prior to the start of class. If you have an unlimited plan (Super Duper Jolly or Super Duper Jolly PLUS), a late cancel fee of $10.00 USD will be applied to your account if you cancel a class less than 10 hours prior to the start of class and have already used your late cancel waiver for the month. If you have a class credit-based plan (Jolly or Super Jolly plan), a late cancel fee of $10.00 USD will be applied to your account if you cancel a class less than 10 hours prior to the start of class, but you will not lose your class credit.

No show: Failing to show up for class or failing to check in. If you have an unlimited plan (Super Duper Jolly or Super Duper Jolly PLUS), a no-show fee of $15.00 USD will be applied to your account if you do not show up for your class and/or fail to check in for your class and have already used your no-show waiver for the month. Please make sure that if you are physically present for class, you check in using your JB app or the kiosks at reception. Failure to do so will result in a no-show charge to your account. For everyone’s safety, we need record of who is physically present in our facility at any given time. That means that if you are present for class, it is your responsibility to make sure to check in.

If you have a class credit-based plan (Jolly or Super Jolly plan), a no-show fee of $15.00 USD will be applied to your account if you do not show up for your class and/or fail to check in, but you will not lose your class credit.

Can I send someone in my place?

Nope. For everyone’s safety, all bookings are non-transferable. The name of the guest at check-in must match the name of the guest in attendance. No exceptions.

What if I’m late to class?

For all classes at Jolly Bodies, please do your best to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of class. For Control sessions, we do not allow late entry for anyone. If your Control session is scheduled at 9 A.M. and you arrive at 9:01, you will not be allowed to enter. This is for your safety and the safety of others, as Control is an immersive, dark, and intense workout experience. Should you arrive late, let us know and we will do our best to reschedule you for another session. For all other classes, guests are allowed up to 5 minutes late entry into the studio. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your scheduled class, we will help you reschedule at no additional cost to you (you will not be charged a “no-show” fee).

What’s the booking window at Jolly Bodies?

All members at Jolly Bodies can book classes 14 days in advance. If you reserved a membership during the pre-sale period, you can begin booking classes for opening day and beyond NOW!

Do you have showers?

Yes! Read about all of our amenities here.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my workout?

Please BYOB: Bring your own bottle (we have water bottle fillers in our facility)

Please BYOT: Bring your own sweat towel. If you forget your own, no problem! We have branded towels for purchase (sweat’s not the only thing with drip around here).

Environment: What should I expect?

At Jolly Bodies, our mission is to care for all human beings through fun, science-backed workouts that reshape bodies and minds to bring out the inner jolly in all of us. That involves loud, energetic music, vibrant lighting, and state-of-the-art equipment. Expect energy, enthusiasm, and FUN.
